FIVE FAVORITE CHANNELS

At the heart of the weemote 3™ is the ability to program in up to five channels of your choosing. The weemote features a patent pending design, providing a parental program area for parents that normally is secured and hidden from the child. This kid friendly design exposes only the controls that they need to use, unlike standard remote controls that provide too many buttons for young children to operate.

DESIGNED FOR YOUR KIDS

Each favorite channel has it’s own unique shape and color. The weemote 3™ also features a “safe channel surfing button” then when pressed, only goes to the channels you have programmed. When using both a TV and Set-Top box, one single power button turns on both devices and sets everything up for reliable operation. With only nine user buttons, the weemote 3™ offers a true, clutter free environment for young children.

EASY TO SETUP

We also made the weemote 3™ easy to program and setup. A typical setup using the weemote 3™ with a cable ready TV takes about five minutes. Select the channels and program in your TV or Set-Top code and your ready to go. Two manuals are provided to support people who like step by step instructions as well as a Quickstart guide for those who want to get going quickly. MOST TV’s AND SET-TOP BOXES ARE SUPPORTED

The weemote™ has an extensive library of remote control codes to support all major brand televisions and Set-Top boxes. We refer to Set-Top boxes as cable boxes normally used when subscribed to a premimum cable service or satellite boxes such as those provided by DirecTV™, Primestar™, Dish Network™, etc. With the current digital Set-Top boxes supporting hundreds of channels, you can truly appreciate the weemote’s ability to provide a select group of appropriate channels for your children. All Set-Top box configurations must be connected to the television using a standard antenna connection with the TV set to channel 3 or 4.

Systems currently not supported are those that use a VCR's tuner as the primary method of changing channels at the TV or any TV that has an integrated (built-in) VCR.

DESIGNED FOR PARENTS

Both the parental setup area and battery compartment are secured by screws. The weemote 3™ uses two AAA batteries (not included) and uses very low power electronics for long battery life. Even in a low battery state, the weemote 3™ can retain it’s configuration for months. You can even replace the batteries and still be assured that your configuration is safe (within five hours).

We have two girls, ages 1 and 3. We're pretty strict about not watching too much TV, but when we do watch it's almost always one of the two public TV stations in our area. We've always limited the amount of viewing time for our 5-year old to 1 hour a day, 2 tops (if he's sick or it's a rainy day...or his baby brothers are extremely cranky). With the Weemote, he gets to make his own choice (empowering him to decide if the program is worth it now or waiting 'till later for something else that might be a true favorite). The unveiling of the weemote  was this past weekend and the kids loved it. It was easy to set up for even me the hmmmm the "electrically challenged". One bit of feedback what is good for kids on PBS in the morning isn't so good in the evening so perhaps some future versions could have a "schedule one " and "schedule two" to compensate for that or for older children. But that small thing aside their weemote has brought a certain amount of comfort.

Mom's remote stays where she puts it and there is no "You may not play with the remote". The moment you need to reload the washer or visit the facilities doesn't elicit the worry "what will she surf to?". We budget her time on the TV we discuss what she wants to watch and talk about how long she can watch I use my other remote to set the timer and she's happy to have her own. Her most favorite feature is the mute button she likes to engage it and come and explain what the animals on zaboomafoo are doing, it's very cute. They got over the Disney is Channel 30 but it's 1 on the weemote very quickly.

I have recently received one of your weemotes for my daughter. It has made my life much easier as now I feel much safer leaving my 5 year old daughter in a room watching TV. I have a DSS satellite dish with the Platinum movie package. Though most movies during the day are pretty harmless, sometimes there is content a little too advanced for a five year old. Because the weemote limits my daughters viewing to certain preset channels I feel much better that she will not see inappropriate television and movies. My daughter also loves the fact that she has her own remote control. Your product is very simple to set up and use. It is a very effective product in helping kids.
